James Roger diary entries
18th August 1912
Rain all day; wind Southeast. Mr. Lord preached from Daniel 8-17 “Make this man understand the vision.” Thin attendance. No S.S. Vesper service at 4 p.m. Old Home Week service, old fashioned choir and Hymns. Fair attendance. Address from Malachi on the offerings to God in other days and former times. My 71st birthday. “And Pharaoh said unto Jacob ‘How old art thou.’”
Nice photo of the 38 team. Make-up reflects the make-up of the town's population, however the team is missing a 'Yankee', like a Smith or a Wheeler. James Roger was older than I thought.
