James Roger diary entry
31st (Tuesday)
Frost. Dull day. David at Depot with chair stock for Walker. He took Jim with him who is going to Hingham for his holidays. Hamish also went to Ayer in afternoon to start work again. I had severe pains in chest and Dr. Jones plastered me and gave me some medicine which relieved me. Joe Silver arrived last night from the Azores.
Notes:
Walkers Mill on Ashby Road did wood turning
Joe Silver was a hotel proprietor. The Clark Hotel and maybe the Appleton Inn.
