William Jurian Kaula diary
I heard a joyous shout I finished my bicycle explorations by a trip on the hills to Colomb and through Sarcy - both are villages that were the only remaining ones within a radius of tem miles which I had not visited before. The weather has been so near perfect for the past two weeks that I found but little time outside of painting. There was a large funeral in Crécy. The cortege moved slowly through the streets headed by the choir boys followed by the chanting priests and the pall-bearers who carried the casket, and then a long file of mourners and the town's people.
Busy packing up my things. I have a huge bundle of canvases, a box of bric-a-brac, a trunk, bag, and an armful of mistletoe.
