Balch Mill
Gibson Four Corners
Gibson Pond is located where Willard Road intersects with Ashby Road in New Ipswich, NH. At one time I believe it might have been a much more substantial body of water. It might have been named Balch Pond. The New Ipswich Historical Society has several photos of Balch Mill, Balch Pond and Balch Dam.

James Roger diary entry
5th (Thursday)
Frost. David went for load of hay for Henry Royce in forenoon then he moved some snow from yard then went for sawdust for town hall &c. in afternoon.
Notes:
David Maynard was friend and a New Ipswich policeman
Henry Royce was the New Ipswich road agent
The town hall referenced is located directly across from the Congregational Church
I remember the pond being bigger buy don't remember the dam.
In the 1950s I used to hike through the woods behind my parents' house to Willard Rd and then down to Four Corners and then to River Rd. I only came across a small pond and wetland.
