James Roger diary entry
4th June 1912
Fair and warm; wind southwest; cloudy afternoon; thunder began about 5 p.m. David planting potatoes; W. Hardy helping. I put in some lettuce, radish, and beans in garden and went for grain, paid Prescotts’ a/c (account). Bought teapot at Farrars’, bought rice and candys [sic] at Prescotts’. Jim Bolton came by 2:30 p.m. train; has sold his place.
The only Baron I knew of was the 'Baron of New Ipswich', a highly trained German Shepherd used by the Fitchburg police dept in the 60s. I wish my house looked like the one in the photo. There are many like that in New Ipswich. Again, I say the stone wall is the key to identifying this house.
