Bartherwich House
Looks like the house on Turnpike road on left side as you travel North
James Roger diary entry
6th June 1912
Cool; west to south wind; cloudy morning; showers began about noon; a peal or two of thunder. Went to mail and bought a dozen tomatoes from Phelps which I planted in afternoon. I cut 8 lots in forenoon. Sewing Circle today. Election of Officers. I went to Greenville and met David who came by 7:10 train. Went to mail after.
I've read a lot of New Ipswich history. I've never come across the name Bartherwich. If you do a Google search you find only one living Bartherwich (Charlotte age 89) who lives in Hampton, NH.
This looks like the house that I grew up in on Thayer. It’s on the left next to the child care business.
