Now he has three cows and a calf. Here he milks Deer Face, his first cow. He manages to milk twice daily, make deliveries and attend school.

Apparently boneset was used by indigenous people to reduce fevers.
Mr Thayer showed his entrepreneurial spirit from an early age. Excellent story and photos.
Nice story of Billy Thayer. I didn't know this. I worked for him for 3 summers. I thought he had life easy as the grandson of Walter, I was wrong, looks like he was ambitious and had the Thayer gene for entrepreneurship. As we know even after Tricnit he started a firewood business. My respect for him just when up a notch. 6 miles/day pulling a wagon of milk which he got by hand milking! While in elementary school!
