Brick House
Not many brick houses in New Ipswich, this is one.
James Roger diary entry
11th June 1912
Fair and warm; wind west. David and Walter at Spoffords’. This was the funeral day of Mrs. John Cummings. The service was in Church at 2 o’clock. A large number of people present and extensive assortment of flowers. There was a Memorial Service for Professor Chandler at the Academy Hall at 3 p.m. A fair attendance. Mrs. Barnett fainted. The speechmaking was mighty tame.
Mighty tame speechmaking. This guy is a wit!
My house growing up in New Ipswich. This picture may be when this house was the Tavern in N.I. I heard it was the first tavern in town. A beautiful home with 186 acres of fields, woods and ponds.
