Brown’s Cotton Mill
The first cotton mill in New Hampshire and one of the first in the United States was located in New Ipswich, New Hampshire. I believe the date was 1803.
Not sure exactly where this mill was located. Probably between Waterloom Mill and Highbridge (now Warwick Mills) on the Souhegan River. It was constructed of granite.
It was important enough to have its own float at the Bicentennial Parade.

The heifer (Elizabeth) had a calf today. Mr. Huckins and Walter Thayer came to help owing to the face of calf coming hind feet first, however both cow and calf are doing alright. I started the 200 egg incubator.
