15th June 1913
Fair and warm; wind variable. Mr. Lane of Cushing Academy preached a good sermon from 2nd Chronicles about the six steps to Solomon’s throne. Frank Whittemore took the Sunday School collection. $.28. No evening service. Mr. Gordon and wife called in the afternoon.
It's not surprising that the pall bearers were some of the most notable men in town. Ed Wheeler was Chief of Police, David Roger was Selectmen, Willmore Ashley and Albro Balch were Surveyors of Wood & Lumber. Knowlton's mother was a Taylor.
