Dull and cloudy; slight showers; wind W & SW. David & Daniel at Depot for Clock for the Baptist Church in forenoon. I picked Chicken; had lumbago all day. Got letter from Jean from Albany.
And poor old James picking chickens while suffering from lumbago pain!
Thanks for this photo. I attended Sunday school there as a kid in the 50s and 60s, learned some Spirituals, and admired the church’s architecture. Later when I was a high-school freshman, I serged as a substitute organist. My father had a part time job cleaning ‘The Congo’ so I practiced as he worked. The pipe organ could drown out the vacuum cleaner.
