James Roger diary entry
29th March 1913
Fine day, wind west and south. David choring round and brought two loads of wood from Walkers’ in the forenoon; also went to Greenville for express and grain in afternoon, brought some tincture of rhubarb, syrup of figs and grain. (Oats) I went to meeting of Historical Society in the library at 3 p.m. Constitution of the Society read; agreed to take steps to form the Society into a corporation; also to meet on 12th April. Got letter from Alice, also from Hamish, who is helping out the Express Co. at Schenectady, and gives report of floods everywhere round that region.
Schenectady still experiences flooding in sections near the confluence of the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers.
