Thayer Photo Albums
The Thayer family has shared two large photo albums containing portraits of their ancestors. These photos were taken in the late 1800s which is earlier than the majority of our photo collection. Some of the subjects were identified, and hopefully Google facial recognition might identify others.

One Hundred Formulas
George Carmichael donated a copy of Stephen A. Thayer’s “One Hundred Formulas” which was published in 1883. It contains recipes from everything from printing ink to pain killers. Another eye remedy. This one might have some merit if it was made without the lead.
WARNING: Please don’t try any of these “remedies”, many contain ingredients which have been shown to be harmful.

About 20 present. No S.S. C.E. at 7 pm. Mr. Peacock leader. Topic Temperance. 7 present. I wrote to Alice, May, Roger, Jessie. David wrote to Hamish.
What a great photo of Ed and another man. The 2 daughters were Florence Johnson and Mabel Livingston. Edward did so much for the town of New Ipswich in many roles. The old saying goes, " if you don't go to people's funerals, they won't go to yours. I am sure that many went to Eds.
He was a great man. I like the causal photo in his home. Hat hanging on the back of a chair, like my house. The interior of the old Wheeler house is different today.
