Wonder where this was?
James Roger diary entry
28th June 1913
Fair and warm with good northwest cool wind. Sad anniversary of my 46th wedding day. David went to Fitchburg with W. Hardy. I picked two fowls and two broilers and delivered the: one at Myron Taylor’s, one at Mrs. Parker’s, and two broilers to Miss Bar.r Also swept Church. Got letters from Roslin and Hamish. Went to Selectmen's room with David's bill for painting cemetery fence.
Always liked that house. Out of a story book.
Emma's obit says nothing about being married to a Wheeler, but she had 2 sons named Wheeler.
She also had a son named Henry Woodward, also no mention of a Woodward as a former husband.
It's interesting to see the connections between the old families, like the Blanchard's, Wheelers, Chandlers, and others that we are unaware of. I shouldn't be surprised that in a small town many families are connected, especially among the old timers.
