1926 Helspurg Store

Mr Helspurg has his new  store building all completed and last week he and his son George and some 25 men, one day, to assist, have moved all their groceries and other goods from the old corner store, formerly the late Wilbur Phelps store, into the new building. Mr. Helsburg has been in the grocery business several years here and last fall he bought Mrs. Oak's house and erected the new building, connecting it with the house. Mrs. Helsburg served all the helpers with a meal after the moving was completed,

Cloudy, cool morning; wind northwest; fair and good breeze. Dave & Henry mowing in the meadow. I fixed Hall for the Public meeting tomorrow afternoon and tossed hay in orchard. Also went to Greenville for Alice’s box and the barrel she sent off some days ago.
