Cloudy with occasional drizzle; wind south. David ploughing for Mr. Balch and Albro; also took a loam to Mrs. Brooks' and brought box from Ames' house to Mr. Spofford's barn. Mrs. Maston at Spoffords’ from 11 a.m. I raked in front of John Preston’s house and went to mail; fixed screens on pantry window. Kesti boys put in cooler today. Andrian Linuke (or Linuhe ?) telephoned David about his a/c (account) and promised to be up at end of week to settle it.
I've heard a lot about the Barrs but never met one. Were they just summer residents? The Kesti girls and my sisters were good friends.
