Gertrude married Charles Maynard my godfather's cousin. They lived in Pepperell MA as did my grandfather and my 2 uncles.
Gertrude Jowders is an awesome name.
Check out the ice at the dam site now! You can see rings of ice around the trees that show how high the water rose during the recent rain. I can't recall higher water in winter.
