James Roger diary entry
8th July 1913
Warm day and dusty; wind west. David at Barretts' mixing cement. Alice and I picked over a barrel of potatoes, which I took to Express Office and brought a bag of barley, oatmeal and crackers. Got 2 postcards from Hamish. The Kenneys are leaving Mr. Brown's cottage on account of Mr. Kenney’s illness and have asked David to pack their things and forward them. John Preston arrived today to spend a month in New Ipswich.
