James Roger diary entry
19th November 1912 (Tuesday)
Hard frost (12 degrees) wind west to southwest, fair and warmer. David took cabbage to Mr. Raymond and brought wagon of wood from Walker’s. Also took coal from John Preston’s to Mrs’ Brooks then went up to David village to see that signboard as he is going to paint one to replace it. I stopped in house most all day with a cold. Mr. Lord called for a little in the afternoon. His mother causes him a great deal of trouble.
All these stalwart Men of New Ipswich doing their duty throughout the generations and then there’s Mr. Lord, whose mother makes things difficult for him. Wonder what the problem was.
I remember Bob, he was married to Gloria they used to live up in Saaris bungalow when I was a kid. Unless this picture is his dad…..?
