Another mystery for our readers. This house and barn “may” be located near Highbridge. There is no information on the photo nor mention of ownership. The three windows on the barn are unique, maybe that might provide a clue.

Hard frost (6 below zero) wind bucking west to S.E. and East. David teaming for Wheeler at Smithville. I filled boiler and Jim split some wood. Got P,C. from Hamish. Dan Brown looked at Mary’s cow.

The Souhegan is a 4th order stream and the other two (2) are 3rd order streams.

No, my maiden name is Halbedel. I graduated from Appleton in 1966.
70 yrs ago I would sled down what is now Ypya Dr and cross Cutter Rd into Basil Mason's driveway and come to a stop in front of his house. The house depicted above could be the same house. The agricultural land was bought by Ernest Leger who lived in the house seen in the distance and was on Highbridge Rd seen on the right. I looked at a recent Google satellite map and was surprised to see more trees at the end of Ypya Dr than I remember and also no buildings! Basil had a nice house and barn. Not sure what happened to them. I would ask my cousin Ollie, since he still lives there and also was in the real estate business.
