James Roger diary entry
9th June 1912
Fair and cool; wind northwest. Mr. Lord preached a good sermon from the text “Put on the whole armour of God and having done all to stand, etc.” The firemen from the Center and Smithville were present. About 120 people altogether. In the afternoon Mr. Lord and I went to Mrs. Ramsdell’s to hear a concert by the Sunday School class which she has in her house. A telephone message came to Mr. Lord’s saying that Mrs. Cummings had died suddenly. The funeral will be held here from the Church on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Evening service at 7 p.m. 57 present. I was busy and did not go.
L-R: Paul Bonnanno; Paul Hill; George Williams; Sonny Laukka; James Traffie.
I was told by Jim that the stack behind the guys are fiberglass forms to cast a concrete "pan" ceiling at the Peterborough Town Library (now demolished and rebuilt).
