Attar Herbs & Spices
A correction for yesterdays posting. Attar was in operation for over 30 years not 3. I remember visiting Dick Martin and Jeff Krouk when they ran the operation in the barn in Smithville, that was a memorable encounter.
While cleaning out a kitchen cabinet I found some spice packets that must be 20 years old. I don’t think they have much potency anymore.
Petition to bring back Attar, for entirely self-interested reasons as I was not around for it. Plus such good branding! That logo! The font! The color!
Late in his life when he lived alone my parents used to invite John to dinner after church on Sundays. He remarked that as a child the hill behind their house next to the Barrett mansion was an open field and good for sledding.
