A Finn church will be built near the Freeman Wright farm; the dimensions are 36 by 24 feet; height of roof, 18 feet. The foundation is already laid. The intention is to have a belfry and bell. The seating capacity will be arranged for about 50. Arrow Jalkennen is the boss carpenter. Andrew Ricketty will be the pastor.

8th July 1912
Very warm, dry, and dusty. David went and put in H. Royce’s hay and cut some in top field in afternoon. Went to sale of Spoffords’ grass after and brought in some hay from top field. Janet (?) and I went to Greenville for grain and brought cabbage from Ayer from post office. Mr. Lord and James Davis culling his hay. Mother used up with the heat.
