William Jurian Kaula diary
28 MAR 1898
As Logan will keep his studio through the summer we can have the privaledge [sic] of storing our belongings in his loft. This will mean quite a little to Cartwright and myself as we would have to risk our things in storing them with some Frenchman. Logan wanted a new studio but would not occupy it until the fall and meanwhile he must have a place in which to keep his immense amount of stuff. It will be just as cheap for him to keep his present place.

James Roger diary entry
28th (Sunday)
Frosty fine day, cool northerly winds. Mr..Peacock preached from 1 Peter 5-6 Humility. S.S. after present 6. C.E. Mrs. E. Wheeler leader topic Books 15 present.
In the mid 40's we drove this house whenever we went to Preston's beach. It was not as open then as in the photo, the trees were larger and the house not as exposed. Amazing to have such a house as a studio.
