One Hundred Formulas
Stephen A. Thayer’s “One Hundred Formulas” was published in 1883. It contains recipes from everything from printing ink to pain killers. This sounds almost tasty.
WARNING: Please don’t try any of these “remedies”, many contain ingredients which have been shown to be harmful.
James Roger diary entry
November 18th 1908 (Wednesday)
Snowy fairing in afternoon, wind South to N.E. to W. David fixing up under barn drains etc. I wrote to Hamish in forenoon and took it down to mail. Got ride part of way with Wilbur. Mr. Thompson told me that Arthur Wheeler was looking after Mr. Bachelder who was sick. Got letter from May all well.
Is there a year given for when this fascinating woman plied her trade?
I wonder where Miss Fox's residence was on Main Street?
