James Roger diary entry
28th May 1913
Wet day; wind east to northeast. David mowed two lots in morning. I filled lamps in Hall for dance; also swept it. David and I picked 6 fowls (1 for Lowe; 5 for Brown Bros.) David went to Depot and met May in forenoon. Mother feeling pretty comfortable and May’s visit cheered her up. May went by 4:40 train. She is going to get flowers for the Hubbard vase. We got letter from Hamish who is coming on Saturday.
