Memorial services for Mrs. Eva Carlson of Smith Village, who died last January at Manchester, will be held this coming Sunday, July 2, at 2.30 p. m., in the Congregational church, followed by a short service at the Smith Village cemetery. Many of her out of town friends who could not have been present for a service in the winter are expected, as well as New Ipswich friends and neighbors. James Roger diary entry
1st July 1913
Fair and very warm; wind west. David and Walter putting hard pan on tennis court and carted up barrels to Preston Pond for Mr. Barrett. Alice and I finished the sitting room. Got letters from Jenny Mair
So Eva graduated from BU. Very forward thinking especially for those times. Wonder what her major was. And it’s good to know who the obituary correspondent was.
