Word of the sudden death of Mrs. Laura B. Hooper last Friday night was received by her many friends here. She spent her summers for many years at her home in town. She was the daughter of Charles Duren and Sophia Gould. She was born in July, 1858, and was married April 26, 1893, to Thomas Hooper, who died a few years ago. Funeral services were held Wednesday from Mount Auburn chapel. Rev. Mr. Prescott officiated.
