Mrs. Louise F. (Walker) Rand died suddenly at a Lowell hospital Saturday She was born Dec.. 30, 1849, daughter of William D. Walker and Mary E. Kidder. Mrs. Rand secured her education in the public schools of New Ipswich and at Appleton academy. She was engaged in business in Worcester for a number of years.
Gilbert X. Rand and Miss Louise F. Walker were married Nov. 5, 1879. They continued to reside in Worcester, where Mr. Rand was connected with a National bank for many years. They resided in Lowell some years since he retired from the Worcester bank. At one time he was a bank commissioner of Massachusetts. They have had a summer home in Central Village of this town for a number of years.
Mrs. Rand was a quiet, unassuming lady who had a large circle of friends who admired her admirable temperament and pleasing manners. She had travelled a great deal with her husband. They spent last winter in Florida. Her funeral took place Tuesday at Lowell. Interment was in Worcester.

Frost; fine day; wind variable. Mr. Lord preached from text in Ruth: “So he took of [off] his shoe,” a good moral essay on the necessity of truth in the home, Society, & to God. S.S. after; 20 present. An address on Turkey (very poor) was given by a missionary in the evening; only 12 all told present.
Dr. Cecil Bankroft was born in 1839, died in 1901.
