Death of Mrs. Mary Woodward
Mrs. Mary Bennett Woodward died at her home in Smithville on July 26. She was born in Ashburnham, Mass., April 13, 1854, daughter of Jacob and Roxanna Bennett. In 1883 she was married to Alfred Woodward, then of Ashby. They had four children. They moved to this town in 1885.
Mrs. Woodward was a member of Watatic Grange over 40 years and had taken the seventh degree.
She had been in failing health several years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Anna Chapman of Norwood, Mass., and Mrs. Mabel Whitney of Derry, N. H., and her husband, Alfred Woodward. Funeral services will be held at the home tomorrow at 2 p. m. and burial will be in West cemetery, Ashby, with Watatic Grange in charge.

Cool night and morning. Mother had very poor night. Dr. came at 9:30 and gave a hypo injection, and another at night. Baccalaureate sermon in church preached by Reverend Mr. Goddard of Greenville from the text "the power that worketh within you.” A splendid address the doctor said, but I was not there. S. S. after conducted by Frank Whittemore. Collection: $.10. No evening service was held on account of my wife's illness. Jessie came in her auto about 11 and went away at 3. G. Sargent met Hamish at Fitchburg. Arrived at 10 a.m.
