Remnant of the church bell, melted by the heat
James Roger diary entry
27th February 1913
Snow and rain; wind northeast. F. Mansfield did not come to saw the wood. David choring round and helping Lonie a little in afternoon. I fixed the Hall and wiped the floor for the Grange tonight. Two Finns called in afternoon wanting to buy hay. Moses Balch much better. Heavy rain at night; trees coated and branches bent down. Grange closed at 12:30 a.m.
Appreciate the photo of the melted bell.
Funny how James Roger sometimes has referred to the Finns almost as one personality inhabiting multiple bodies, without names.
