NEW IPSWICH, May 19.-Mrs. Sarah Rebecca White, formerly a resident of Manchester, died Friday morning at her home in New Ipswich. She was 83 years old.
Mrs. White was the widow of Clarence E. White, well known in musical circles.
She is survived by a son, William L. White, of Exeter, and two granddaughters, Marcia Kimball White of Exeter and Mrs. William G. Houk of Canton, N. Y.
Mrs. White was born in Boston. Most of her life she had resided in Peterborough and Manchester, but had made New Ipswich her home for the past 18 years.

James Roger diary entry
6th July 1913
Warm day; wind north west. Mr. Lord preached Communion sermon from the text "for as oft as, etc.“ No S. S. Mrs. Thayer paid her quarterly 5 cents. Evening service at 7 P.m. The tolling bell not working.
Wonder what the problem was with the tolling bell. Was that an omen?
I just read comments previously made about Clarence White's obit. The Whites Summered in what became Dr. Cayward's home. The White family was a traveling musical family troupe with Clarence playing the clarinet. Now is the home of Peg Lee.
