Killed in Korean War
James Roger diary entry
9th May 1913
Fair and cool; wind mostly westerly. David ploughing Miss Taylor’s garden and harrowing Myrons’. I picked fowl for Lowes and fixed vestry lamps, etc. for men’s meeting tonight. Got letter from Hamish. David got long distance telephone from Miss Palmer saying she was coming tonight. I met Supt. Johnson of Ayer this evening. He knows Berkley, May, and the girls and says they are very smart, bright girls.
It appears the deceased Minnie also had a sister named Winnie? Wonder if that was an error.
Also, great shot of my Uncle Harvey (Arvi) Kangas and co. Had never seen this one. My father, his brother Toivo, called him “Hud.”
My brother Dave did research on the Korean War. Wonder if he knows about this.
