William Jurian Kaula diary
19 MAY 1898
It rains almost daily so that it seems to be a general rainy season. There were two new arrivals at our hotel today of a woman and her daughter. They are English. I shall welcome all newcomers as I expect to remain in Crécy after the Dearth's go away. I had hoped to spend June and July elsewhere and my plans have been spoilt. Neither do I intend to go to Brittany with Cartwright and Logan. Hazard writes that he will be over here again in a few weeks but I cannot trust him again with any arrangements and depend upon him for his company anywhere. Mr. Dearth tells lots of stories of his student days over here and the boys were up to the same sort of tricks as of today.
James Roger diary entry
19th May 1912
Fair with strong west wind. Mr. Loomis of Ashby preached from text “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Fair attendance; S.S. after. Evening service at 7 p.m. Good turnout but I was busy shutting up chicks, etc.
It sure looks like!
Is it the house opposite New Ipswich market?
