James Roger diary entry
25th November (Monday)
Frost and cloudy wind westerly, snow flurries. Royce and David teaming hardpan and sand on roads in forenoon and afternoon. I fixed vestry and lit fires in church for Principal Cowell’s lecture tonight. Picked 5 chickens. 3 for May, 2 for Wisson. Got letter from Hamish. David joined the men’s club tonight. P. Cowell’s lecture was very instructive.
Elbridge owned Clark's hotel for 6 years.
