Warm and dusty, Wind varying NE to NW. David took Berkley, May and the Bairns to Depot brought some Hungarian seed. Then went to Lonie’s. I cut the Davis lot in morning. Fred Preston arrived today and the usual hilarious and silly demonstrations of the Gordons. I bug deathbed the potatoes today and went to assembly at the Academy in the evening. Got letter from Jim at Long Island.
So what are the “usual hilarious and silly demonstrations of the Gordons”, of which James Roger writes?
So relieved as well that the bugdeathing procedure finally has begun. I was afraid the potato beetles had taken over.
I recognize a few boys in the team shot with Carl Toko. Looks like Ken Kangas and perhaps Clark Somero were there too?
New Ipswich had a lot going on 100 years ago. Interesting to see the outfits they wore while swimming or canoeing or playing tennis. In the 40s I spent many a summer day at the Bankvillage beach. Actually Preston's Beach. He charged 10 cents for a day at the beach.
