William and Pearl Thompson
The Auction
This house is listed on the National Registry as the Hubbard-Batcheller house, but it is commonly referred to as the “Pearl Thompson” house because the Thompsons lived there for over 50 years. Pearl was a long time teacher at Central School. The building remained abandoned for several years and was auctioned off by the town. The current owners appear to doing a renovation.
WWII Veterans
Hazel Moore compiled an album of New Ipswich WWII veterans for the New Ipswich Historical Society. As a prelude to our town’s Memorial Day celebration, we will feature several photos each day.
