William Jurian Kaula diary
It is one year today since I left home. I have not traveled much since I came in going about Europe or even France. I look forward to a trip to Italy and perhaps Switzerland. I have but little desire to visit Germany unless I could merely spend my time and money in travelling.

The fall foliage at Smithville Reservoir
I love that Blueberry picking picture - so sweet. Wow, James Roger is pretty deep on this one- "Conjunction of Jupiter and Venus at 4am this morning.". Glad he gave the update on chicken ice water and Hamish!
I never knew Mr. Preston's first name (or his wife's first name). We always addressed them as Mr. or Mrs. Preston. After he died (around 1950) Mrs. Preston came to live with us. She and I played checkers. Whenever I won she would say "You are very foxy". I took it as a compliment.
