William Jurian Kaula diary
18 FEB 1898
The costume ball given by our school, the Academy Viti will take place tonight in the large studio at No. 49 - Boulevard Montparnasse. The boys have been busy preparing their costumes and we expect to have some fun - I will wear a costume which Glover made last year for the Julian Ball. It is a simple costume of an Early German period and quite effective. Glover and Logan will wear costumes which they made last season. Cartwright has been busy industriously sewing his own costume after his own designs. Logan is full of brilliant ideas for costumes and suggested using a part of the armor for Cartwright's costume. He made a splendid foot soldier.

James Roger diary entry
18th (Tuesday)
Hard frost 24 degrees wind west to North. David went for coal for ourselves (2420 lbs) And teamed gravel to Long Hill for washed out roads. Took some carriage shafts from Lonies to Sawyer’s and brought one back. Rehearsal of degrees by Grange in Hall tonight. John Newell cutting wood for Hall. Dr. Hildreth’s father’s picture in Hall fell owing to bad wire and broke glass. Odd Fellows have put up two chandeliers in Hall. Corbett put in the Church wood today. I filled boiler and emptied coal. Will Spaulding of Ashby died yesterday.
I'm guessing we're looking south from Barrett Mt. So left to right would be: Pratt, Watatic, Wachusett.
