New Ipswich will be holding its annual Memorial Day Observance. The morning parade will form in Smithville and march to the South Cemetery. Join us. Below is a photo taken at the ceremony at South Cemetery.
In 1959 and 1960 I drove a Tricnit truck to the Leel house once a week to deliver unfinished socks that Laura would 'loop' and bring back to Tricnit the finished product. Looping involves sewing the toe closed since the sock comes off the knitting machine as a 'tube'.
