New Ipswich Selectman, Robert B. Walker, Dies
NEW IPSWICH, Funeral services for Robert B. Walker, a selectman for 23 years, will be held at the Congregational church Monday afternoon.
Mr. Walker, owner and manager of the A. F. Walker Woodturning plant, was born in New Ipswich, Jan. 19, 1886, the son of Albert and Ella (Balch) Walker. He died at the Peterborough hospital after an illness of eight weeks, following an operation for appendicitis.
He was a member of Bethel lodge, F. & A. M., and of the Congregational church. He was also a member of the Townsend and Ashby, Mass., bands, and of the former New Ipswich band.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cora (Eaton) Walker; his mother, and a sister, Mrs. Lena Taylor of Wellesley, Mass. Burial will be in the family lot in the cemetery here.
