Celebrated Birthday 1926
Mrs. Julia Ann (Chickering) Lowe recently celebrated her 91st birthday. She was born Dec. 8, 1834, and is the oldest woman in town. She was married Nov. 3, 1853, to George N. Lowe, and located in this town. Six children were born to them, Julia Frances Lowe, who was married to Horace M. Nash; George Frederic Lowe, who died several years ago; Abby Ellen Lowe, who was married to Robert L. Cumnock, and lives in Virginia; two children, who died in infancy; Charles Henry and Herbert Norton, and Caroline Lowe, teacher in Newton, Mass. There are five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lowe is active. She assists in household duties. Mrs. Lowe made her own birthday cake and each caller was given piece. Many a friends called to congratulate her and she received numerous letters and gifts.
Mrs. Lowe's daughter Mrs. Frances Nash, has lived with her mother since the death of her husband.

Fine day. David in bed with lame back. I cut lots and went to Greenville in afternoon for a valuable parcel from Ex. Office for Mr Newcomb. Got letter from Hamish. Paid Prescotts’ bill, also Mr. John Burton’s.
Is that the dam near Hildreth Pl.? It looks larger than the present one.
