Some Things New Ipswich Has A fine Congregational church edifice, dedicated in 1903, to replace the old colonial structure. Its worthy pastors have increased the prosperity and welfare of this township. It assets are $15,000. A prosperous Baptist Church, under the leadership of a popular minister. Its clergymen have made strenuous efforts to co-operate for the public good. Its resources are $4,500. The New Ipswich Appleton Academy, founded in 1789, the second oldest in the state. Its assets amount to $38,000. The trustees are making great efforts to restore its former standing. Principal Herschel W. Lewis and Miss Mary F. Wilbar are the instructors. A historic town hall, whose walls in the past were long enriched by education's touch, but now guard the portraits of men highly esteemed in the town's history. A superior town library enhanced by the annex containing the Helen Fletcher Memorial, a valuable source of information to the student and casual reader. The Spaulding Public School Fund of $10,000, also the Stearns Lecture Fund of $5,000.

Rain during night. Thawing, then freezing at night. David choring round got horse sharpened and plastering rat holes at Spofford's. Got pc from Hamish who has found his grip. I fixed up Hall for Dance tonight. The concert &c last night was very good quite a mob of people there, some from Rindge
So relieved that Hamish at last has got his grip.
New Ipswich also has other artifacts, not mentioned, in way of historic and significant public buildings and homes, monuments, as well as recreation facilities. Hate to see some of these buildings falling into decay as the Town is unique in its collection of neighborhoods both central and rural.
