I believe these three barns or storage sheds were located in Bank Village directly across the street from the house that was owned by the Kaulas. You can see a glimpse of the retaining wall on the right side of the photo.

William Jurian Kaula diary
31 MAR 1898
The spring has made no apparent progress in spite of the warm weather. I went the rounds and could only find anything of interest in our hotel garden. There were more violets, more primroses, and more daffodils but not in profusion as to warrent [sic] calling it a garden in bloom.
The new canvas that I prepared for myself will be a great saving. I will have to make a large number of studies in order to learn something of the ways in which Mr. Dearth would like to have me work. To make these experiments on expensive canvas would soon bancrupt [sic] me. I stretch good linen canvas on the stretchers and then coat them thickly with a large amount of gelatine which has been dissolved in hot or boiling water. When this preparation is dry, as it dries in a few hours, it makes a splendid surface equal, without exaggeration, to some of the best French canvas which costs eight or nine francs a metre. It costs me about a franc and a half a metre.

James Roger diary entry
31st (Wednesday)
Frosty fine day, cool north west wind ice melting. David went for the wagon front wheels he bought a week ago at Waldo Whitney’s auction, and helping Lonie in afternoon. The robins appeared this morning in the trees beside our house and I heard them whistling in the trees down the street. I started my incubator this morning with F. Mansfield’s eggs 308 and 52 of our own.
You're right. These barns were across from the Kaula house. They don't seem to be hay barns or animal barns. They have a weird assortment of windows and are positioned too close to the road. Why 3 separate buildings with 2 of them creating a snow collecting valley. I think your term storage sheds is appropriate. The one to the left with many windows looks to be a workshop.
