Dull and cloudy; wind west. David at Greenville and painting at D. Brown’s after. I swept Hall and cut some of John Preston’s lawn. Mrs. Gordon got telegram today that her sister was very ill so went by 4:30. Mrs. Knowlton (Mrs. Gordon’s sister) died this afternoon.
