Draft Notice - September 2, 1835
N. I. Rifle Rangers.
Mr. George Fox
SIR: You being enrolled as a Soldier, in the N. 1. Rifle Rangers, in the 22nd Regiment New-Hampshire Militia, are hereby notified and warned to appear at H. BATES' Hotel in New-Ipswich, on Monday the 7th inst., at 1 o'clock P. М. armed and equipped as the law directs for military duty, and there wait for further orders.
You are also notified and warned to appear at the House of Nathaniel Edwards in Temple, on Wednesday, the 9th inst., at 5 o'clock in the forenoon, with arms and equipments required by law for military Inspection and Review, and there wait for further orders.
You are respectfully invited to attend a meeting for the transaction of business, at H. Bates, Hotel, on Thursday, (to-morrow) evening, at 5 o'clock precisely.

Hard frost (12 below) David went to woods at 9 0’clock. I fixed Hall for dance tonight. Hamish came to Greenville as messenger but did not come home as it threatened storm snow commenced to fall at 9 pm snowed a good deal during night.
