So many question. Did we miss getting extra space for the New Ipswich Historical Society? Where is this property? Does it have heat and running water? Better parking?

CHARLES H. CHANDLER Historian New Ipswich, N. H Will of Oliver M. Batcheller Aug. 9. 1915 In good health and sound mind and in view of the uncertainty of life, do declare this my last will and testament. I give to James Oliver H. West, son of James B. West, the sum of 500 dollars. I give to Laura West, daughter of James E. West, the sum of 250 dellars. I give to Florence H. Qually, the sum of 250 dollars. I give to Grace Qually the sum of 250 dollars. I give to Mrs. W.S. McWade, the sum of 250 dollars. give to Mrs. Peetz, Formerly Birdie Young, the sum of 250 dollars. To the Historical Society of New Ipswich, N.H. I leave the old homestead together with all of my old relics and I authorize my executer to quiet the title to same. I appoint Dr. F.W. Jones and W.A. Preston a commission to divide anything not bequeathed to [?] Society or institution in New Ipswich N.H. Oliver Batcheller Jamon E. West, Witness Pearl Bassett, Witness.

Fresh warm west wind. David choring round, went to Greenville for grain in afternoon. Got letters from Hamish and Roslin, also cards from Roslin, also letter from Mrs. Ritchie and a Shetland wool shawl from Tom to Mother.
Thank you, Carl, for that information. I still don't understand why NIHS did not get the Batcheller homestead. The last clause could have been made void without cancelling the will.
