A Vague Description
We have many photos with vague and confusing captions. This is one of them.
The Old House - torn down by Mr. Clark about 188? and present (1976) house build. Later the home of Hattie Clark McKown and now (76) of Wm. Thayer family.

Longest day and warm wind NW. David went to Lonie’s in morning. Also brought home ladders from Club House and went for Berkley in afternoon. Mr. Peacock preached text “ By what authority &v” S.S. after present 8. I led class. C.E. F. Whittemore leader. Topic getting a place &c. 12 present. Mr. Peacock spoke about being ordained to Mr. Wheeler and I.

Benjamin died at 7 years. 6 months and 6 days
See o're the urn the willow weeps,

James Roger certainly kept busy! Puts us all to shame...lol.
I worked for a Wm Thayer (Billy Thayer?) in the 1950s. I did yard work and took his trash to the dump. The picture shows a different house than the one I'm familiar with. I also worked for Phil Thayer and Walter Thayer, and it doesn't look like any of theirs. Billy went through a divorce in the late 60s and the picture may have been the home of his second wife.
