Visiting Winslow and Nancy
Carl Toko and I had a nice visit with Winslow and Nancy Paajanen. They shared family photos with us and showed us a tape of Finnish folk dancing that they performed in Finland.
They had some great photos of Walter with some of the radios he built.
Then there is this photo of Walter which reminds me of Hopalong Cassidy How many readers know who “Hoppy” was?
They also had a group photo of the Paajanen family, but I won’t attempt to name all the individuals.
James Roger diary entries
26th October 1912 (Saturday)
Fair day, wind west David teaming with Henry Royce in the cemetery. I picked chickens for Mrs. Spofford and Mrs. Tucker to cook for their coming in the afternoon, also fixed church. Hamish went to mail forenoon and afternoon, and went with D. Maynard to Greenville in the afternoon. Got a letter from Alice. Great complaints are generally made about poor lecture in the hall last night. Principal Lewis and W.A. Preston called today with some ice cream from last night’s collection.
A local legend.
Thanks for sharing those pictures. I always enjoyed Walter's company. Also, nice to see a pic of Winslow and Nancy. Haven't seen them in 6 yrs. Winslow's brother, Wesley and I skied Watatic together.
