17th (Monday)
Frosty – slight showers of snow which melted as it fell. David went for coal for George Chapman and got horses sharpened. Berkley went away with him. Telephone man called for his monthly a/c. Got ½ dozen red herrings from F Shirland. Had cows out in forenoon.
I've been told that Marion knew how to do masonry and made the lodge's stone fireplace and chimney.
